What is the cove at bear X?
The Cove at BearX is a one-of-a-kind Adults-Only Waterpark in College Station, TX created to minimize stress, maximize joy, & love life more!
When do you reopen?
We haven’t yet launched our opening date for the 2023 season, but you can be the first to know by following us on Instagram and staying in the loop!
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE COVE?
The Cove at BearX combines resort style activities & service with aspects of a pool & day club. The massive lazy river flows past the swim up bar, VIP bungalows/cabanas & the ProFlow surf attraction. Absorbing some vitamin D and playing yard games are other popular activities at The Cove. The cable wakeboard lake is a feature for guests looking to take their experience to the next level.
Are You open to the public?
HECK YEAH! Everyone 18 & up who abides by our Good Vibe Covemandments may purchase day passes or memberships to The Cove. See our day passes & reservations page for more information.
What's the age requirement?
Currently the venue is 18 & up, unless The Cove is rented out for a Good Vibe Ride Session.
Admissions
How do I buy a day Pass?
Whether you come for the day or just a few hours, you will need a day pass! You can purchase a day pass at our admissions desk on the day you visit. You must show your ID to enter the venue.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations are closed until we launch for Summer 2023, but you can follow us on Instagram to be the first to know when they are available again!
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE PROFLOW?
Ready to shred? Purchase a Surf Session here or at the admissions desk when you arrive.
Plan Your Visit
Do you have overnight accommodations?
We do not, but we have a list of recommended hotels within a short driving distance from our venue.
What should I bring?
Government issued photo ID, credit card, beach towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and most importantly, Good Vibes!
What should I Not bring?
No coolers, food, firearms, knives, weapons, outside beverages, chairs, coolers, illicit or illegal drugs, folding chairs, personal floats, cleats, fireworks, large signs or banners, noise making devices, pets, large bags, or personal music speakers.
What should I wear?
Covemandment #2 asks guests to leave some things to the imagination when dressing for The Cove. This guideline maintains the Good Vibes in the venue and ensures everyone is comfortable and feels welcome. Please watch our Covemandments video to help you decide on the best fit for your experience! We will leave it up to you and your judgment on the bathing suit. Feel free to bring a backup or extra shorts if you feel unsure.
Do you have lockers?
We got you covered! You can bring your own lock to put on one of our free cubbies, purchase a lock in our Pro Shop, or pay to use one of the lockers available.
Can I leave The cove and come back?
Sorry, my dude, there is no readmission into the venue once you leave the property. If you need to grab something from your car, one of our Vibe Protectors can escort you to your vehicle and back into the venue. This is to ensure the safety of yourself and our other guests.

CAN I RENT OUT THE COVE FOR A PRIVATE PARTY?
The Cove is not taking Private Event inquiries at the moment, but you can follow us on Instagram to be the first to know when they are available again!
Where can I find out about upcoming events or promotions?
If you have previously held a membership, you can renew/activate it easily by checking out our memberships page!
Approaching the beginning of Summer, The Cove Team will send an email (check that spam) to all Harbor/Barracks residents and all previous members to renew or activate their membership for the coming season. Memberships grant you access to The Cove any time during operation hours with the ability to drink while you float, book a surf sesh, reserve a Bungalow, and bring up to 7 friends each time you come out!
If you live at The Harbor or The Barracks (owners included), you automatically have a membership built into your lease and will get an email as well. If you have any questions about memberships, please email (and keep an eye on that spam folder) members@bearx.com, and we can help ya out!:)
If you are a Harbor or Barracks Townhomes Resident, you automatically receive membership to The Cove. Residents will receive an email the week of March 16th confirming membership status (make sure to check your junk box). If you do not get an email by March 26th, please contact us directly at members@bearx.com.
If you live in a Barracks Townhome not managed by Arena Group, the owner is responsible for submitting tenant information annually. Only owners can submit tenant information.
Check back here or follow our member Instagram to stay in the loop on operational changes throughout the season. We will post an announcement if we are forced to close due to weather!
You must be 18 years or older to enter the venue (ya know, because it's a bar) unless you or your kid are attending a Private Event or participating in Surf Club.

Members & guests MUST bring a government-issued photo ID.
We recommend bringing money for that cold beverage, beach towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and most importantly, Good Vibes! And yes, you can bring a cup/water bottle as long as it is empty upon arrival.

Each member may bring up to 7 guests when they visit the Cove. 2 guests may enter for free (as included in the membership). Upon arrival, the other 5 guests must purchase a guest pass at the admissions counter.
As a member, you can ask our Admissions Concierge to add people to your guest list for entry. As your guests arrive, they can simply let the front desk know that they are a guest on your list. Easy:)
You have more than 7 friends? Props to you! They are visiting from out of town? No problem!:) Another option is to book a Bungalow through your membership if you want to bring up to 14 of your closest friends. The Guest Passes for your guests are included in the cost of the Bungalow.

Reservations for our Bungalows are available only to members. Members can make their Bungalow reservation online, just click the button below! The Bungalow reservation cost includes access to the venue for the member on the reservation as well as up to 14 of their guests. A member must accompany guests upon arrival on the day of the reservation, or the member may provide the admissions concierge with their Bungalow guest list when checking in.
Non-member reservation requests will not be accepted as we are a member-only pool.
The Cove is an 18+ members-only pool created to minimize stress and be a place of joyful restoration for local Brazos County residents. Only members and guests attending with a member will have access to the venue.
To enter the venue, you must be a member or a guest attending with a member.
We currently allow TAMU & BLINN faculty and students the opportunity to purchase a day pass at The Cove by presenting a valid university ID at admissions day of. Otherwise, only members and guests of members will be allowed access to The Cove.
Here is a breakdown... Anyone 18+ residing in Brazos County is welcome to purchase a membership! If you are not a local living in Brazos County, please fill out the non-local inquiry form on the page linked below in case we ever open up membership opportunities to other areas in the future. We’ve got all the good stuff vibes! Float your way through our lazy river, kick back in a Bungalow, challenge your crew with yard games, and fuel up at our dope Pizza Bar. Add in a surf machine, a swim-up bar, and plenty of sunny lounge space and you’ve got yourself a perfect day at The Cove!

We are always down to relentlessly serve our locals! While we can’t make any guarantees (seasonal life keeps things flexible), feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to see if we can accomodate your event. Private events must occur during non-operational hours.
